Location: Remote (Must be legally eligible to work in and reside within Canada)

Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 a year

What you will do

• Work as the embedded TA on a proprietary engine to optimize performance and improve framerate stability.
• Develop shaders and implement general asset improvements.
• Provide technical and implementation support to animation, modeling, texturing, and FX teams.
• Act as a critical bridge between Art, Engineering, and the game engine.
• Author documentation for production pipelines and internal tools.
• Take ownership of technical problems and collaborate with a small, high-performing team.

Requirements

• Understanding of shader development and asset management.
• Basic knowledge of VFX production pipelines and tools.
• Experience with C++.
• Ability to find creative and unorthodox solutions to technical constraints.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and residency within Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with profiling and performance using GPU vendor tools.
• Knowledge of particle systems and effects animation.
• Experience working with proprietary game engines.
• Proficiency with P4V and GitHub.
• Experience in the Real-Time Strategy (RTS) genre.
