Information Assurance Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Information Assurance Specialist (Cybersecurity): Providing security engineering and information assurance support for the Government’s Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to maintain ATO and ATC for mission applications with an accent on security controls, compliance, and risk management. Focus on designing security testing, managing security records via XACTA, and ensuring adherence to NIST and DoD standards.

What you will do

• Provide security engineering and IA support to the Government’s A&A process to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC).
• Design, develop, monitor, and document security controls, security testing, reporting, and plan of actions and milestones (POA&Ms).
• Provide security engineering design inputs and best practices as part of technical change requests.
• Configure and validate secure systems, physical controls, and test security products to detect vulnerabilities.
• Maintain XACTA security records for supported mission systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 5-7 years of Cyber Security/Operations support (or Master's with 3+ years).
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, or Security+).
• Strong knowledge of compliance with ICD 503, FISMA, OMB, NIST, and DoD (8150.01) standards.
• Experience with vulnerability management, patching, and the ATO process for Classified DoD or IC environments.
• Experience managing and monitoring Privileged User Access (PUA), Data Transfer Access (DTA), and Removable Media Custodian (RMC) privileges.

• Experience leading an ATO process through the XACTA tool.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Agile software development.
• Experience working with cross-domain solutions.
• Proven experience improving governance and support of IA functions for customer enterprises.
