What you will do

• Own features end-to-end from problem definition to shipping and maintenance.
• Design and build high-quality backend components using Ruby on Rails.
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities to create real value for users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers.
• Conduct technical feasibility assessments and drive architecture decisions.
• Ensure system performance, responsiveness, and security.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and scalable application design.
• Deep experience with Git and agile software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity.
• Fluent in English.
• Must be based in the European Union for remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience with test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
• Background in FinTech or e-commerce.
• Familiarity with AI workflows, LLMs, and vector databases.
