Backend Engineer (Cryptography) (Golang)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Lead large-scale initiatives end-to-end, from architecture and design through implementation for on-premise software.
• Develop cryptographic workflows, including PKI and HSM related functionality for HashiCorp Vault.
• Act as a technical authority in Golang, reviewing code for design quality, performance, and best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to deliver customer-aligned solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence through automated testing and maintainable code.
• Support production reliability by participating in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages with a strong interest or expertise in Golang.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), focusing on scalability and security.
• Ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Not a foreign national from US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and specific regions of Ukraine).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with cryptographic systems (PKI, HSMs, TLS, key management, IAM, secure enclaves).
• Experience using HashiCorp products (Terraform, Packer, Waypoint, Nomad, Vault, Boundary, Consul).
• Expert-level proficiency in Go development.
