QA Engineer (Developer Tools)

Location: Hybrid or Remote in Belgrade, Berlin, Limassol, Madrid, Munich, Paphos, Prague, Warsaw, or Yerevan. Relocation support available.

What you will do

• Own quality and drive testing strategy for several product areas, including desktop and server-side components.
• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, and acceptance testing for new and changed functionality.
• Search for, localize, and reproduce complex issues, report them in the tracker, and verify fixes.
• Collaborate closely with developers during implementation to reduce integration risks early.
• Contribute to test automation for server-side and infrastructure-related areas.
• Participate in monthly release acceptance and make release-readiness decisions.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in QA for complex software projects.
• Experience testing desktop applications, client-server systems, or technically complex integration scenarios.
• Proficiency in testing applications on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, authentication flows, and client-server architecture.
• Confidence using logs, thread dumps, command-line tools, and proxies for debugging.
• Basic programming skills with familiarity in Kotlin and/or Java.

Nice to have

• Ability to write automated tests in Kotlin.
• Experience with integration testing or validating distributed workflows.
• Experience defining a quality approach for a new subsystem from scratch.
• Experience with release processes and quality gates in products with frequent releases.
