TL;DR

Mid Android Engineer (Kotlin/AWS): Developing a mobile application that interfaces with a globally distributed IoT ecosystem with an accent on concurrency, networking, and scalable software architecture. Focus on building efficient communication layers between mobile clients, IoT devices, and cloud services.

Location: Hybrid (1–2 days a week on-site in Campinas/SP, Brazil)

What you will do

  • Design and develop high-performance Android applications focusing on scalability and reliability.
  • Implement robust multi-threading and concurrency solutions for real-time data processing.
  • Build communication layers between mobile clients, IoT devices, and AWS cloud services.
  • Collaborate with backend, product, and hardware teams to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API contracts.
  • Optimize application performance, memory usage, and network efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Android Developer with shipped applications.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and modern architecture practices (MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization).
  • Strong experience with Coroutines, Flow, RxJava, and thread management.
  • Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, IoT Core).
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP).
  • English proficiency for effective collaboration in a global team.

Nice to have

  • Experience building applications that interact with connected devices or IoT systems.
  • Interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLM-based workflows) to improve efficiency.
  • Experience with real-time data, streaming, or device communication.
