What you will do

• Own the target-state architecture for the enterprise data platform across ingestion, transformation, storage, compute, and delivery layers.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns via ADRs.
• Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and networking for Databricks, including hub-spoke topology and Private Link.
• Lead Databricks workspace administration, including Unity Catalog, access controls, and cost optimization.
• Implement security and identity controls using Azure Entra ID, RBAC, and data masking.
• Ensure operational reliability using Terraform (IaC), CI/CD, and performance tuning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a proven track record of defining and driving data platform architectural roadmaps.
• Deep practical knowledge of Azure networking (VNet injection, private endpoints, NSG/UDR configuration).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks administration and Unity Catalog.
• Proficiency in Terraform for provisioning Azure resources and Databricks workspaces.
• Strong skills in Azure Entra ID and IAM lifecycle management.
• Must be based in the USA

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Fivetran or equivalent managed ingestion tooling.
• Working knowledge of dbt project structure and medallion architecture.
