TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Developer (Java/React): Building high-performance scalable microservices and data-driven web applications for cloud communications with an accent on data ingestion and processing. Location: Must be located in Portugal (Hybrid: Coimbra, Aveiro, and Porto)

What you will do

  • Design and develop scalable microservices and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build services supporting high-volume data ingestion, processing, and access.
  • Develop responsive web applications using React and integrate them with backend services.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for application features and data pipelines.
  • Deploy and manage containerized services in Kubernetes using Helm charts.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Product Managers to modernize legacy architecture into cloud-native services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering across both backend and frontend.
  • Strong programming skills in Java with Spring Boot for microservices development.
  • Experience building frontend applications using React.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, relational database design, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Must be located in Portugal.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Snowflake and dbt.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Knowledge of messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools or agentic AI workflows.
