Analytical Principal Research Scientist (Biotechnology)

Location: Boston, MA; five days per week on-site

Salary: $140,800–$211,200 base salary per year, plus annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead the Dissolution Team by fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
• Mentor team members and support their professional and leadership development.
• Design, execute, and interpret dissolution studies for formulation development and regulatory submissions.
• Develop clinically relevant dissolution methods, parameters, specifications, validation protocols, and analytical strategies.
• Author dissolution sections for regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with ICH, FDA, and company requirements.
• Contribute to SOPs, best practices, data-driven decisions, and timely delivery of high-quality results.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry with 4–7 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 7+ years; or a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years.
• Experience applying scientific concepts and techniques to complex problem-solving.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, teamwork, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop and validate analytical methods, set specifications, support stability and release testing, and prepare regulatory submissions.
• Ability to work on-site in Boston five days per week, with ad hoc flexibility.
• Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment while following regulatory guidelines and company policies.
