TL;DR

Software Development Director (MedTech): Leading a strategic engineering area within Digital Health Solutions with an accent on translating business strategy into engineering outcomes and developing leadership talent. Focus on driving product value in regulated clinical environments and shaping the overall R&D agenda as part of the management team.

Location: Must be based in Copenhagen, Denmark (Hybrid: 3-4 days at home).

What you will do

  • Take full accountability for the delivery, quality, talent, and roadmap of a strategic engineering area.
  • Translate business strategy into clear engineering priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and coach chapter leads and senior engineers to build organizational capability.
  • Partner with Product Line Management to co-own scope, roadmap, and product outcomes.
  • Shape R&D standards, investment priorities, and organizational direction as a member of the management team.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders across commercial and executive teams.

Requirements

  • Director-level track record in a software product organization.
  • Experience with area P&L-style accountability and senior management participation.
  • Regulated industry exposure (MedTech, pharma, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive alignment and results in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated success in improving delivery predictability and engineering effectiveness.
