What you will do

• Take full ownership of the Azure cloud environment, from initial design and build to ongoing management.
• Partner with leadership to make critical infrastructure decisions that shape the technology landscape.
• Design and evolve a scalable and resilient cloud architecture.
• Harden and maintain the network infrastructure supporting the cloud environment.
• Apply sound engineering judgement to solve complex technical challenges without existing runbooks.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on experience with Azure architecture, migration, and administration.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting tools, specifically Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
• Practical experience with networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and TLS.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and improve outcomes.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Christchurch office (Hybrid).
