Location: Must be based in or relocate to Delft, Netherlands
Salary: €3,059 - €3,881 gross per month

What you will do
- Develop LCA methodologies compatible with structural design for the aviation energy transition.
- Research how green hydrogen, hybrid, and electric propulsion affect structural design principles beyond lightweighting.
- Design and conduct experiments to refine LCA assumptions and critical research data.
- Disseminate findings through peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
- Contribute to educational initiatives and provide training/teaching for MSc students.
Requirements
- Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in structural design, sustainability, life-cycle analysis, and experimental testing.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- English proficiency required for doctoral courses and scientific publishing.
- Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.
