TL;DR

Lead Pricing Analyst (Insurance): Shaping long-term market position and profitability through advanced analytics and strategic recommendations with an accent on predictive model development and market research. Focus on building machine learning models to optimize conversion and retention and enhancing risk pricing models with new data insights.

Location: Hybrid (UK). Must be based in the UK; office attendance required once a month in London or Eastleigh.

Salary: £70,000

What you will do

  • Lead the creation, validation, and review of predictive and machine learning models for risk pricing.
  • Analyze internal and external data to enhance risk models and perform cost-benefit analyses.
  • Provide risk pricing support for tender responses in collaboration with Distribution and Underwriting teams.
  • Develop and manage monitoring dashboards to track business needs and pricing actions.
  • Coordinate rate deployment and present strategic pricing options to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor and identify market trends impacting product pricing and underwriting.

Requirements

  • Quantitative degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Science.
  • Experience in a data-driven role with essential knowledge of Home insurance products.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • Experience with predictive modelling techniques (e.g., Logistic Regression, GLMs, GBMs, Random Forests, Neural Nets).
  • Must be based in the UK.
