Software Engineer (Embedded)

What you will do

• Interpret functional requirements and technical specifications for embedded systems.
• Develop and implement embedded software using Simulink and C.
• Create and execute unit-level testing on bench rigs and physical equipment.
• Investigate and resolve software defects across simulation and hardware environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hydraulics and drivetrain engineering.
• Participate in global development meetings and complete a 3-6 month training program.

Requirements

• Degree in Software, Computer, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or graduating Summer 2026).
• Minimum one year of relevant industry experience (industrial placement acceptable).
• Proficiency with Simulink model-based development.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle/automotive technology and control system architectures.
• Understanding of electronic hardware and embedded system design.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with C programming language.
• Awareness of data communications protocols like J1939 or CAN.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and configuration management tools like Git and Azure DevOps.
• Previous exposure to material handling or automotive industries.
