DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer: Support automation, maintenance, and reliability of LGY development and deployment pipelines with an accent on CI/CD processes, environment management, and compliance with VA OIT standards. Focus on monitoring pipeline health, troubleshooting deployment failures, and implementing best practices for efficiency and stability.

Location: 100% Remote (US-based). Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Hours: 40 hours/week with availability during core business hours of 8am-5pm ET.

Salary: $80,000-$120,000

What you will do

• Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines across development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot deployment failures.
• Implement DevOps best practices to improve pipeline efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and release management teams.
• Assist with environment troubleshooting, deployment diagnostics, and documentation of processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in deployment automation and infrastructure reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of DevOps or infrastructure automation experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps.
• Experience managing build and deployment pipelines.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (Git).
• Experience working in cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government IT programs or VA systems.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Salesforce deployments and release management.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with ServiceNow or Jira for change management.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
