Finance Manager (Chemicals & Agriculture)

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, while overseeing statutory reporting, tax submissions, and audits.
• Lead budgeting, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, long-term financial planning, scenario modeling, and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee product costing, absorption costing, bills of materials, inventory management, and cost optimization across production and supply chain operations.
• Deliver month-end close and management accounts, analyze profitability by product line and market segment, and support margin improvement initiatives.
• Partner with sales, operations, procurement, and production teams on pricing, tenders, contracts, credit arrangements, working capital, and commercial decisions.
• Manage treasury activities, banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure, financial controls, risk registers, ERP improvements, automation, and reporting dashboards.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) and 1–5 years of post-articles experience in finance, management accounting, auditing, or commercial finance.
• CA(SA) preferred; CIMA, SAIPA, or SAICA-designated professionals with strong technical grounding may also be considered.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, management accounting and costing experience, financial modeling capability, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, chemicals, FMCG, or industrial sectors is preferred, with the ability to work in regulated and fast-paced environments.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Syspro, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics 365, plus advanced Excel and Power BI, is advantageous.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, professional judgment, integrity, adaptability, and reliable personal transport.
