Finance Intern (12 Month FTC)

TL;DR

Finance Intern (Finance): Providing financial support to various group companies within the UK Shared Service Centre with an accent on month-end closing and reconciliations. Focus on bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings, and ensuring SOX compliance.

Location: Minimum of 4 days per week in the office (UK)

What you will do

• Assist management accounts with month-end tasks including bank reconciliations.
• Post journals for accruals and prepayments and analyze variances against budget.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to track monthly accruals.
• Support the Finance Manager in maintaining departmental spend trackers.
• Help prepare and submit external financial reporting requirements.
• Code and process intercompany invoices correctly.

Requirements

• Currently completing or recently graduated with a finance degree.
• Proficiency in Excel, specifically VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Must be able to work in the office at least 4 days per week (UK).
• Proactive nature and willingness to learn about various business areas.
