Senior Robotics Engineer (Robotics): Developing motion planning solutions for industrial robot cells using 3D models, point clouds, and robot kinematics with an accent on GPU acceleration, algorithm optimization, and collision-free path generation. Focus on designing simulation environments, integrating with vision systems, and optimizing performance for real-world deployments.

Location: Oslo or Trondheim, Norway. Relocation, visa, and language courses supported for moving to Norway.

What you will do

  • Develop new solutions for unsolved robotics and automation challenges, expanding motion planning offerings.
  • Act as technical leader: drive architecture, algorithms, standards, mentor engineers, and ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with Camera and Vision teams on integrated solutions.
  • Design simulation and test solutions for industry-grade deployments.
  • Work with customers and Product team on cell designs, requirements, and integration support.
  • Optimize existing motion planning for fast-growing market demands.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in industrial robotics deployments.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Cybernetics, Robotics, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience with motion planning or other planning algorithms.
  • Passion for problem-solving, analytical skills, solution-oriented team player.

Nice to have

  • Team lead or mentoring experience.
  • ML/AI algorithm development and training.
  • Simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Drake).
  • Python programming.
  • ROS/ROS2 or other open-source solutions.
  • 3D vision, depth sensing, or point-cloud processing.
