TL;DR
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Automation (CodeceptJS/Appium): Own and evolve automation strategy across web and mobile products with an accent on scalable frameworks, mobile testing, and CI/CD integration. Focus on architecting automation frameworks, leading mobile efforts, improving test reliability, and mentoring the team.
Location: Aachen / Übach-Palenberg, North Rhine-Westphalia (Onsite). Hybrid work setup with onsite work and remote options based on team needs. No visa sponsorship in the EU.

What you will do
- Define and evolve overall automation strategy across desktop and mobile
- Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks using CodeceptJS
- Lead mobile automation efforts using Appium
- Contribute to and review automation code in JavaScript, Kotlin (Android), and Swift (iOS)
- Drive integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Improve test reliability, execution speed, signal quality, and early quality risk mitigation
- Mentor engineers and influence practices for better testability and observability
Requirements
- 5+ years in QA with strong focus on test automation
- Proven experience designing and scaling automation frameworks
- Deep knowledge of CodeceptJS and modern E2E test tooling
- Strong experience with Appium and mobile automation strategies
- Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Swift for mobile testing
- Strong CI/CD experience and understanding of quality gates
- Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
Nice to have
- Experience modernizing legacy or flaky automation suites
- Knowledge of performance, reliability, or security testing
- Experience with cloud device farms or mobile test platforms
- Experience defining quality metrics and reporting
