What you will do

• Define and evolve backend platform architecture for millions of user connections
• Design and build highly available distributed services in Golang, targeting scalability, reliability, and performance
• Lead code reviews, champion testing, clean architecture, and engineering best practices
• Partner with SDK team for seamless client-backend integration and end-to-end functionality
• Mentor engineers, grow team technical depth, and collaborate with security, infrastructure, and product teams
• Drive performance targets and ship reliable products protecting users at scale

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years backend engineering & architecture experience, 5+ years in Golang
• Proven track record with distributed systems at scale and deep understanding of networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS)
• Hands-on experience with VPN protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec), tunneling, NAT traversal, low-latency networking
• Production experience on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, Aurora/RDS), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), strong Linux background
• Working knowledge of cryptography, threat modeling, secure coding, strong API design

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related
• Network performance tuning, Python, Java
• NoSQL databases, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
