Audit & Tax Officer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Audit & Tax Officer (FinTech): Ensuring accurate and timely completion of Cyprus-based entities’ statutory, tax and VAT reporting obligations with an accent on audit coordination, tax compliance, and transfer pricing studies. Focus on preparing financial workings, conducting reconciliations, calculating provisional taxes, and monitoring local tax framework changes.

Location: On-site in Limassol, Cyprus (Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00)

What you will do

• Prepare financial and statutory information for audits of Cyprus-based entities in coordination with external auditors.
• Maintain communication with external auditors and assist with tax audits.
• Prepare information for transfer pricing studies to ensure inter-company arrangements conform to arm’s length principle.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of balances with related parties and vendors.
• Calculate provisional taxes, review tax calculations, and submit tax returns for Cyprus entities.
• Monitor tax compliance, prepare VAT reports, and handle ad hoc audit and tax requests.

Requirements

• Fluency in English
• ACA, ACCA, CPA or relevant certification
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• At least 3-4 years of experience as tax manager or similar
• Good understanding of Cyprus local tax laws and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and tax returns
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets)
