Compliance Engineering, Dev Ops, Vice President (Fintech)

What you will do

• Proactively manage production services by monitoring availability, capacity, and overall system health.
• Collaborate on system design, capacity planning, and launch reviews prior to go-live.
• Scale and evolve systems to improve overall capacity and reliability.
• Practice sustainable incident management within a blameless postmortem culture.
• Define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Engineer automation and self-healing capabilities to significantly reduce operational toil.

Requirements

• Experience with Java, Python, or Perl.
• Proficiency with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and load balancing in distributed systems.
• Experience with Linux environments, algorithms, data structures, and software design.
• Must be based in Dallas, TX

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with Chaos Engineering and fault-injection testing.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and managed services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with IaC frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of the financial industry or compliance/risk functions.
