What you will do

• Create engaging community content, including contributor spotlights, project showcases, and "how I got started" features.
• Maintain a daily active presence on Discord, welcoming new members, answering questions, and organizing events like AMAs.
• Manage and grow social media presence in coordination with the Digital Marketing Manager to spark real conversations.
• Support the delivery of conferences, community meetups, and industry events (e.g., IFA), handling logistics, promotions, and recaps.
• Oversee the contributor recognition program and develop new community swag ideas.
• Produce community videos, event recaps, and social reels.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in community, social media, content, or communications roles.
• Demonstrable experience managing social media accounts with genuine engagement.
• Hands-on experience with Discord (moderation, server management, or deep community embedding).
• Experience in organizing and running events and handling practical logistics.
• Professional fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Currently based and eligible to work within Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience working with open source, tech, or community-driven organizations.
• Passion for smart homes and automation.
• Experience as a Home Assistant user.
• Video editing experience.
