Looking to lead HR operations at the intersection of fintech, AI, and ethical banking in the Middle East?

Mal is building an AI-native digital banking platform focused on accessible, Sharia-compliant financial services for underserved communities globally. They’re now hiring an HR Operations Lead to shape and scale the people function in a fast-growing startup environment.

What you’ll do:
— Lead and optimize end-to-end HR operations and compliance
— Build and implement HR strategies aligned with business growth and company values
— Partner with leadership on workforce planning, talent, and retention
— Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives
— Ensure HR policies align with UAE labor law and Sharia principles
— Build HR reporting frameworks and leverage analytics for decision-making
— Improve documentation and knowledge management (including Notion-based workflows)
— Launch strategic HR initiatives within the first 60 days

What they’re looking for:
— Proven experience building and leading HR functions in startup / high-growth environments
— Strong knowledge of UAE labor law and HR compliance
— Experience in HR strategy, change management, and complex HR projects
— Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
— Advanced HRIS / HR analytics skills
— Understanding of Sharia principles in workplace / HR context
— Nice to have: SHRM / CIPD, fintech / banking / Islamic finance background
