What you will do

• Serve as the security architecture authority for application platforms deployed into OT environments.
• Own and evolve security architecture patterns for authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Design secure bridges between cloud services and customer OT networks using Purdue Model principles.
• Lead architecture-level threat modeling focused on red-network threats and lateral movement mitigation.
• Establish reference security architectures for large Java-based platforms operating on OT networks.
• Provide security architecture sign-off at design and release decision points.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years in software engineering and security, with 3–5+ years in security architecture.
• Deep understanding of cloud security fundamentals and modern IAM patterns (OAuth2, OIDC).
• Working knowledge of the Purdue Model, including zones, conduits, and segmentation strategies.
• Strong background in Java application development and application security.
• Experience designing systems specifically for customer OT networks rather than just enterprise IT.
• Must be based in Brisbane and available to work onsite five days a week; Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated, safety-critical, or industrial systems.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts applied in constrained networks.
• Prior experience partnering closely with AppSec, platform, and product teams.
