Location: Redmond, United States. Employees within 50-mile commute expected to work from office at least 4 days per week

Salary: USD $84,200 – $165,200 per year (higher in SF Bay Area and NYC)

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements and identify dependencies for product features.
• Develop design documents, create and implement code reusing existing components as applicable.
• Break down work items into tasks, provide estimations, and monitor system health as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI).
• Review developments, seek knowledge to improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products.
• Drive consistency in monitoring and operations at scale while embodying company culture and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with proven experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience
• Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and security screening requirements

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Bachelor’s + 2+ years technical engineering experience
• Reliable understanding of data structures (hash tables, binary trees), algorithms, and performance analysis
• Proven problem-solving, analytical skills, communication, collaboration, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
