TL;DR

Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS): Designing, building, and operating highly reliable and secure hybrid platforms for business-critical applications with an accent on automation, resiliency, and observability. Focus on reducing operational toil, implementing multi-region disaster recovery, and optimizing cloud costs through FinOps initiatives.

Location: Hybrid in Manila (6805 Ayala Ave)

What you will do

Design and implement high-availability, fault-tolerant architectures across on-prem and AWS platforms.
Lead multi-region disaster recovery planning, implementation, and validation of RTO/RPO.
Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and configuration management tools like Chef.
Implement end-to-end observability including metrics, logs, traces, and synthetic monitoring.
Lead cloud migrations and modernization initiatives, including legacy system refactoring.
Partner with security and legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance, including GDPR-related controls.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or similar languages.
Deep expertise with Linux/Unix systems and AWS cloud-native architectures.
Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience operating mission-critical, high-volume platforms.

Nice to have

Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments.
Experience with EKS/Kubernetes at scale.
Familiarity with Chaos Engineering and resilience testing.
Experience leading cloud cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives.
