TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (AWS/Fintech): Maintaining and optimizing AWS infrastructure for a PCI DSS compliant payment gateway with an accent on IaC and CI/CD automation. Focus on Kubernetes orchestration, cost optimization, and enhancing system security and stability.

Location: Temporary Remote with mandatory relocation to Limassol, Cyprus

hirify.global develops a high-security payment gateway for accepting and sending funds between merchants and users.

What you will do

  • Maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure (EKS, RDS, MSK) ensuring stability and disaster recovery.
  • Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/OpenTofu.
  • Create and optimize Helm charts and configurations for Kubernetes services.
  • Collaborate with the development team on deployments, migrations, and troubleshooting in testing and prod environments.
  • Set up and analyze monitoring and logging systems via Prometheus and VictoriaMetrics.
  • Define technical epics, prepare tasks, and conduct estimations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure and 1+ year with AWS.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and experience deploying clusters independently.
  • Proficiency with Terraform/OpenTofu/Terragrunt and Helm/Helmfile.
  • Experience with AWS networking (VPC, ALB, Security Groups).
  • Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PCI DSS audits.
  • Knowledge of MySQL, Redis, and Amazon Athena.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Groovy.
