TL;DR

Technical Customer Support Engineer Tier 3 (Automotive/IoT): Serving as the highest technical escalation point for complex software and infrastructure issues within automated vehicle inspection platforms with an accent on root cause analysis and system stability. Focus on diagnosing problems across Linux, containerized environments, and cloud platforms to drive scalable long-term solutions.

Location: Onsite in Teaneck, NJ

Salary: $90,000 – $110,000

What you will do

  • Act as the final escalation point for Tier 2 engineers and Customer Success Managers to resolve critical system incidents.
  • Perform advanced root-cause analysis on Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Collaborate with R&D and DevOps teams to replicate bugs, test patches, and provide feedback on system architecture.
  • Develop custom Python and Bash scripts to automate repetitive tasks and implement monitoring tools.
  • Analyze network traffic and log files to identify bottlenecks in data pipelines and IoT hardware setups.
  • Create technical documentation (SOPs) and mentor Tier 1/2 agents to improve resolution rates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Tier 3 Technical Support, Systems Engineering, or SRE.
  • Deep proficiency in Linux environments and advanced command-line troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience managing and troubleshooting Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).
  • Proficiency in Bash and Python for system automation and log analysis.
  • Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and ticketing systems like Jira.

Nice to have

  • Experience with IaC tools such as Jenkins and Helm.
  • Background in machine vision or AI-driven SaaS platforms.
  • Experience working within a high-growth startup environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other CRM/enablement platforms.
