Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Vienna, Austria – hybrid role with on-site presence required but flexibility for remote days

What you will do

• Build and maintain platform services, internal tools, and self-service solutions using Python and Django
• Operate and optimize AWS infrastructure, focusing on EKS, S3, SES, Lambda
• Automate CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational workflows
• Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing), monitor health, and handle incidents
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Enable developer productivity via documentation, runbooks, and self-service capabilities
• Maintain security, compliance, and collaborate with development teams

Requirements

• 5-8 years in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps
• Strong Python coding; Django/FastAPI a plus
• Hands-on AWS experience, especially EKS, S3, SES, Lambda
• Solid Kubernetes knowledge for production
• Terraform or similar IaC tools
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD
• Docker and container orchestration
• Observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana
• Excellent English communication skills (German a plus)
