What you will do

• Lead, recruit, and calibrate sensory panels for R&D studies.
• Design and execute descriptive and discriminative sensory tests, including logistics and setup.
• Manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of sensory tests using Compusense.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams and clients to align on sensory methods.
• Provide technical sensory consulting to the Quality Control team.
• Maintain and revise SOPs to ensure consistency and best practices across sites.

Requirements

• Academic Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Sensory Science.
• Knowledge of descriptive and discriminative sensory methods and relevant statistical analysis.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Reinbek, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with sensory and statistical software such as Compusense or R.
• Professional background in the flavour industry.
• Experience with consumer insights.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Willingness to travel for global meetings and sensory activities.
