Managing Director (Korea): Build and lead the Korean branch of an international data engineering consultancy as the first hire, establishing client base, legal entity, team, and culture with an accent on business development in Databricks ecosystem and Korean market adaptation. Focus on driving BD, managing finance/legal/HR operations, and representing the company at executive level.

What you will do

• Serve as managing director and primary representative to clients, partners, public bodies, and industry groups in Korea
• Build client/partner ecosystem with focus on Databricks network; represent at events adapting to Korean business culture
• Manage corporate legal matters, compliance, regulatory monitoring, and external counsel
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, audits, tax compliance, banking, and treasury operations
• Lead talent acquisition, HR strategy, performance management, and foster inclusive culture

Requirements

• 5+ years business development/consulting experience in Korea with strong network of enterprise decision-makers
• 2+ years leadership in international organization
• Deep fluency in Korean and international business cultures; full professional proficiency in Korean and English
• Familiarity with IT/software landscape in Korea; Databricks relationships advantageous
• Experience managing legal entity operations, financial compliance, HR in Korea (recommended)
