What you will do

• Design and deliver performant, maintainable backend services using Go.
• Contribute to software architecture, API design (REST/gRPC), and technical code reviews.
• Build and operate services on Kubernetes with Docker, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement security-first designs, including authentication, authorization, and data-protection architecture.
• Model healthcare and research data in PostgreSQL with a focus on scalability and integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with GDPR/HIPAA and clinical requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend experience with strong production expertise in Go.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including query optimization and transactional design.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating REST and/or gRPC APIs at scale.
• Experience with FHIR standards and healthcare data modeling.
• Must be based in Ukraine.
• Professional written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Exposure to regulated environments such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in staff-augmentation or embedded-consultant engagement models.
