What you will do
- Lead the design and development of AI-driven diagnostic and prognostic algorithms for embedded BMS platforms.
- Architect hybrid models combining battery cell chemistry, impedance diagnostics, and AI/ML approaches.
- Develop real-time algorithms for State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), State of Power (SoP), and safety predictions.
- Deploy and optimize models on NXP S32K/S32G platforms using C/C++ and AUTOSAR.
- Utilize NXP eIQ AI/ML tools to implement quantization, pruning, and efficient inference on automotive MCUs.
- Ensure strict compliance with ISO 26262 and automotive OEM standards.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in BMS or battery systems, preferably within Automotive OEM or Tier-1 environments.
- Deep expertise in battery cell chemistry and electrochemical behavior.
- Hands-on proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
- Experience deploying algorithms on embedded systems using C/C++ and AUTOSAR.
- Strong understanding of real-time, resource-constrained systems and state estimation.
Nice to have
- Experience with the NXP AI toolchain, specifically the eIQ Machine Learning Software Development Environment.
- Proficiency with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Expertise in Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS).
