TL;DR

Information Governance Manager: Lead authority on data protection and information governance, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and related regulations with an accent on frameworks, risk management, and regulatory engagement. Focus on developing policies for AI and cyber security, managing incidents, and embedding a culture of responsible data use across the organisation.

Hybrid – Occasional travel to Head Office in Matlock (DE4 3YH) for meetings (1-2 days a month)

£44,000 - £48,000 per annum pro rata

What you will do

• Act as lead authority on information governance and data protection, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR, PECR, and regulations
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders on data protection and privacy
• Lead data protection compliance programme, including records, audits, and subject rights requests
• Chair Information Governance Group and manage ICO relationships
• Review third-party data processing and develop governance policies for data protection, IT, cyber security, and AI
• Lead incident response for data breaches and deliver training programmes

Requirements

• UK-based with ability to travel to Matlock office 1-2 days a month
• Strong knowledge of UK data protection legislation (UK GDPR, PECR) with practical experience in governance or data protection role
• Experience implementing compliance frameworks in complex organisations
• Demonstrable engagement with ICO and regulatory bodies
• Experience managing data breaches, incident response, and policy development
• Understanding of AI implications for data protection; strong stakeholder and communication skills
