What you will do

• Develop and optimize core GNSS positioning systems (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou) to ensure reliable pet tracking globally.
• Improve accuracy and reduce power consumption for challenging environments like dense cities and forests.
• Work hands-on with GNSS chipsets and combine satellite data with sensor inputs to enhance reliability.
• Analyze device logs and real-world tracking data to identify and resolve edge cases.
• Own positioning features end-to-end, from initial concept and implementation to device deployment.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Backend, QA, and Support teams to drive technical improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of embedded firmware experience with C/C++ on microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with GNSS systems, chipsets, and positioning protocols (or background in automotive navigation, drones, or wearables).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to work.
• Very good English skills.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Linz, Austria.
