What you’ll do

• Design and develop detection logic, security rules for threats, suspicious behaviors, and misconfigurations in SaaS apps.
• Research SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack) for security models, APIs, and attack surfaces.
• Translate attack techniques and risks into detections, posture checks, and risk signals covering identity, access, integrations, data exposure.
• Analyze SaaS telemetry for patterns, anomalies, and new detections; reduce false positives for actionable signals.
• Collaborate with Engineering to productionize detections and with Product to prioritize and explain insights.
• Stay current on SaaS attacks, identity threats, OAuth risks, AI security; contribute to knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years in cybersecurity: detection engineering, threat research, security analytics, cloud/SaaS security.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS security: IAM, OAuth, third-party risks, misconfigurations.
• Experience with security telemetry/logs, querying large datasets (SQL, Python).
• Developing/tuning detection logic in SIEM/XDR; familiarity with SaaS APIs.
• Understanding of SaaS attacker techniques: identity attacks, privilege escalation, persistence.
• Analytical skills, communication; partnering with Product/Engineering.
