What you will do

• Implement high-level, customer-specific speech dialog interfaces using Android infrastructure and AIDL descriptions.
• Analyze and implement dependencies between Android native interfaces, speech assistants, and cloud-based components.
• Optimize system performance, focusing specifically on reducing latency and minimizing memory and CPU consumption.
• Collaborate with R&D and framework teams to define optimal configurations for specific automotive customer projects.
• Perform target platform measurements and collaborate with project teams to reproduce and resolve defects.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Android, Java, Kotlin, and C/C++.
• Detailed understanding of Android architecture, including AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, System Services, and AOSP.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and German.
• Must be based in or able to work from Aachen or Ulm, Germany (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with speech recognition or related voice technologies.
• Knowledge of ASPICE and Agile (SCRUM) methodologies.
• Experience with Unit Test Frameworks like Google Test and Jest.
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, and Artifactory.
