TL;DR

Focus on influencing lawmakers and administration, coalition participation, and thought leadership through advisory and spokesperson roles.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute policy positions and recommendations on technology, data, privacy, and insurance oversight.
  • Serve as connection point with lawmakers, administration, members, and partners to support legislative and regulatory reforms.
  • Collaborate with healthcare organizations in DC for coalition efforts and lobbying agendas.
  • Coordinate with Public Relations to develop and publish content elevating advocacy priorities.
  • Act as advisor and spokesperson to members, lawmakers, administration, and health policy experts.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience in policy research, implementation, advocacy, consulting, or in insurer/health plan/hospital settings.
  • Demonstrated training in public health, health services research, and policy analysis.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems, reimbursement policies, and alternative payment mechanisms.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills in healthcare research environment.
  • Project management and financial operations skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, adapt quickly, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
