What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI for pricing and revenue management use cases.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and data models using SQL and Azure SQL.
• Collaborate with product, data, and revenue management teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the architecture of distributed services to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Implement observability and tracing to monitor system health and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in code reviews and define engineering best practices within the team.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong focus on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks, ideally FastAPI.
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (schema design and query optimization).
• Strong engineering fundamentals in system design, distributed systems, and observability.
• Portuguese: Native / Mother tongue.
• English: Fluent (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies like Apache Kafka and Azure Service Bus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.
• Experience working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
