What you will do

• Lead design and development of high-impact backend systems and APIs for rider experience and operational intelligence.
• Architect scalable platforms to ingest, process, and analyze city and vehicle data for key insights.
• Drive technical vision and roadmap for backend services supporting seamless rider journeys in complex venues.
• Build and maintain robust, mission-critical infrastructure for expanding autonomous vehicle operations.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Mentor engineers, own end-to-end delivery of complex features, and enhance system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in backend development with Java/Kotlin, Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems.
• Experience collaborating with developers and cross-functional stakeholders across sites.
• Experience leading large efforts and teams of engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with engineering artifacts, reliability monitoring, alerting, security, privacy, documentation, integration testing, and production hygiene.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in C++.
