What you will do

• Collaborate with the Head of Platform and Head of SRE to identify and implement infrastructure improvements.
• Enhance system maturity, ensuring High Availability and establishing adequate testing and disaster recovery (DR) plans.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and define scalable deployment patterns.
• Lead incident response and resolution, followed by detailed post-mortems and retrospectives.
• Drive knowledge sharing through tech-talks and obsessive documentation of Playbooks and Runbooks.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in DevOps Engineering and operating large-scale platforms.
• Deep expertise in distributed cloud systems, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloudformation.
• Understanding of relational database technologies (e.g., AWS Aurora) and distributed asynchronous workloads.
• Experience with nginx, DataDog, and Prometheus.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided).
• English: Good written and spoken proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise solutions running at scale.
• Familiarity with Kanban and Agile development processes.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Knowledge of software best practices like Refactoring, Clean Code, DDD, and TDD.
