TL;DR

Junior Java Developer (Java/Spring Boot): Developing and optimizing payment solutions like iDEAL and Wero for millions of users with an accent on high-volume transaction processing and scalable architecture. Focus on building the new application chain for the iDEAL-to-Wero transition and ensuring 24/7 service reliability.

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands. Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Salary: €3,447 - €4,923 per month

What you will do

  • Contribute to the transition from iDEAL to Wero by building and improving the new application chain.
  • Develop scalable applications capable of handling high-volume transaction processing.
  • Create and optimize fast checkout journeys to enhance the customer online payment experience.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerts to maintain 24/7 service availability.
  • Develop customer-facing features, including the parking feature within the hirify.global app.
  • Manage the full software lifecycle using DevOps principles, taking ownership from development to production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of professional working experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Java through studies, internships, or personal projects.
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot basics is preferred.
  • Strong command of English.
  • Eligible to work in the Netherlands.
