What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP and the Yii framework.
• Build modern, responsive web interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Translate product designs and user stories into high-quality, functional end-to-end features.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Implement state management strategies and integrate frontends with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to identify and resolve UX inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PHP, React, and TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of modern PHP, Yii framework, JS/ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and writing tests (PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress).
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Laravel or Symfony frameworks.
• Experience with design systems and scalable component architectures.
• Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) and queue systems.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms like AWS/GCP.
• Experience with Headless CMS (e.g., Strapi, PayloadCMS, Contentful).
