Application Security Engineer

What you will do

• Perform design and architecture reviews of new features and define security requirements.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to implement security features and SDLC best practices.
• Utilize static security scanning tools, review findings, and coordinate remediation actions.
• Conduct ongoing manual security assessments and review external penetration test results.
• Manage the intake and vetting of defects from 3rd party security researchers via the Bug Bounty program.
• Provide on-demand application security expertise and drive process improvement ideas.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in the application security field.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding best practices and industry standards (OWASP).
• Hands-on experience implementing SDLC and DevSecOps concepts.
• Proficiency with security scanning tools such as BurpSuite, ZAP, and Snyk.
• Experience securing applications within cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• English: Good written and verbal communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in Python.
• Knowledge of identifying AI threats in a security landscape.
• Participation in CTF challenges and bug-bounty programs.
