TL;DR

Senior Launch Mission Manager (Aerospace): Managing the certification, integration, and execution of satellite launch missions with an accent on range safety compliance and launch vehicle ICD verification. Focus on optimizing certification processes to increase launch velocity and ensuring flawless mission execution through cross-functional leadership.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR compliance)

Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 + equity

hirify.global is a Series C startup building the largest and highest-power satellite platforms for missions from LEO to deep space.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for certification, range safety compliance, and launch vehicle user guide compliance.
  • Ensure launch vehicle ICDs are closed and verified while managing the launch operations plan.
  • Coordinate payload certification and ensure payloads meet requirements from K2 and launch providers.
  • Support integration readiness, pre-ship, and flight readiness reviews.
  • Review and shape future customer contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Develop and innovate certification processes to increase mission velocity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or science.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical aerospace or manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects, technical trades, or technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of launch vehicles, spacecraft, and certification/verification processes.
  • Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in an engineering or science discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical aerospace and 4+ years of project management.
  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience leading spacecraft qualification for single or constellation level projects.
