Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States. The role involves up to 25% travel and requires eligibility to access ITAR-controlled information as a U.S. person or through a federally issued export control license.
Salary: $140,000–$175,000 base per year, plus equity.

What you will do
- Own certification, verification, and execution activities across payloads, launch vehicles, launch sites, and customer missions.
- Coordinate range safety compliance, launch vehicle user guide compliance, ground operations plans, payload certification plans, and qualification reports.
- Serve as the primary interface for launch providers and payload providers, closing and verifying launch vehicle interface control documents.
- Support payload integration readiness reviews, pre-ship reviews, launch readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews.
- Partner with engineering, program management, legal, customers, and launch providers to resolve licensing, insurance, contract, and technical requirements.
- Improve certification methods and incorporate lessons learned to support constellation-scale mission rollouts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or science.
- 5+ years of experience in technical aerospace or manufacturing.
- 2+ years of experience managing projects, technical trades, or technical teams.
- Strong understanding of launch vehicles, spacecraft, aerospace systems, and certification or verification processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering or science discipline.
- 8+ years of technical aerospace or manufacturing experience and 4+ years managing projects or technical trades.
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience leading spacecraft qualification, verification, or certification for single-spacecraft or constellation projects.
- Experience with payload or launch provider contracts and statements of work.
