What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated tests using C for embedded firmware and Python for platform integration.
• Own automation suites for assigned features, ensuring reliability and comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform firmware integration testing on PlayStation 5, PlayStation Portal, and Windows platforms.
• Monitor and optimize test infrastructure, troubleshooting automation failures to reduce flakiness.
• Analyze execution data to contribute to runtime optimization and testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams to align on test coverage and system quality.

Requirements

• Strong Python scripting skills with hands-on experience using pytest and Appium.
• Proficiency in C or modern C++ (C++17 preferred).
• Solid experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, including job configuration.
• Experience using test case management tools such as qTest or TestRail.
• Deep understanding of embedded firmware testing and hardware/software integration.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot automated tests independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Actions.
• Experience testing or interacting with Windows-based drivers.
• Familiarity with PlayStation SDK development.
• Basic knowledge of electrical concepts like voltage levels, current draw, and battery diagnostics.
