Embedded SW Validation Engineer (C/Python): Testing and validating the MCUXpresso SDK to deliver production-ready low-level drivers and middleware with an accent on hardware-software integration and regression testing. Location: Hybrid (Brno or Rožnov p.R., Czech Republic). Candidates must have a valid visa and work permit to work in the Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for the MCUXpresso SDK.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of low-level drivers and middleware.
• Execute tests on real hardware and simulated pre-silicon environments.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with developers to root-cause and resolve defects.
• Improve test coverage and develop automation using Python.
• Validate software behavior across various MCU variants and board configurations.

Requirements

• Practical experience with embedded systems testing or C development.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and HW analog/digital circuitry.
• Experience with hardware-dependent testing (GPIO, timers, DMA, communication peripherals).
• Proficiency in Python for automated testing or scripting.
• Knowledge of GIT and standard software development workflows.
• English: Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken form.

Nice to have

• Experience with NXP products, MCUXpresso SDK, or BSPs.
• Knowledge of Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with automotive or industrial standards like ASPICE or ISO 26262.
