What you will do

• Own features end-to-end, working cross-functionally with stakeholders to solve complex marketplace problems.
• Build APIs and backend systems powering the order lifecycle, from supplier matching to delivery.
• Integrate with eventing systems and scale the platform as order volume grows.
• Improve product quality through rigorous testing, observability, and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with the Backend guild to set standards and improve the state of backend systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building web applications and backend services.
• Proficiency in Python for designing, developing, testing, and monitoring production systems.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
• Experience working in an agile team with product managers and designers.
• Must be based in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketplace platforms or operational systems.
• Deep understanding of event-based architectures.
• Familiarity with Angular.
