TL;DR

Workflow & Provisioning Lead (Telecom): Deploy and configure Temporal/Camunda workflow engines on Kubernetes, design SIM activation/deactivation and plan change workflows with compensation logic. Focus on inventory database schema for 30M+ records, workflow versioning, order/network trigger handling, and leading a developer on production-grade implementation.

What you will do

  • Deploy and configure production-grade Temporal/Camunda on Kubernetes with HPA, retry policies, and alerting.
  • Design SIM activation, deactivation, and plan change workflows integrating HSS, OCS, PCRF, and inventory.
  • Build inventory management database schema for ICCID, IMSI, MSISDN at 30M+ scale.
  • Implement workflow versioning, order-triggered signals from DB, and network triggers via Kong API Gateway.
  • Lead a developer on tasks, code reviews, end-to-end testing, load testing, and runbook authoring.
  • Handle post go-live operations, hypercare, and continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Fluent English
  • 4–6 years backend development experience.
  • Hands-on with workflow engines: Temporal.io preferred (workers, activities, signals, timers); Camunda/Airflow accepted.
  • Go or Java for production services; REST API design for Kong Gateway.
  • PostgreSQL schema design, indexes, optimization for 10M+ rows.
  • BSS/OSS knowledge: provisioning, SIM lifecycle, telecom activation.
  • Kubernetes deployment/operations; event-driven with RabbitMQ/Kafka/Redis Pub/Sub.
  • Failure handling: retries, idempotency, compensation, DLQ.

Nice to have

  • Direct Temporal production experience (SDK, workers, namespaces).
  • Telecom elements: HSS, OCS, PCRF, SMSC; Diameter (Ro/Gy/Gx).
  • Mock-first development, contract testing; Prometheus/Grafana monitoring.
  • Telecom operator/MVNO/vendor experience; eSIM/GSMA SGP.22; Python scripting.
